Blonde Sourdough

A 100% sourdough loaf, made with locally milled unbleached flour — mostly white with a little bit of whole wheat, for a creamy color and a mellow tang. Its thick, crispy crust and tender, chewy crumb go well with many sweet and savory toppings, but is also delicious with a simple slather of good, salted butter.

A single loaf is roughly 615 grams post-bake.

Storage + Reheating

For short-term storage, store your unsliced loaf in its paper packaging at room temperature for 2 to 3 days. Alternatively, wrap in a towel or beeswax wrap, but do not store in plastic to prevent the crust from getting too soft. Slice only what you need, and always keep the cut side covered.

For long-term storage, store your unsliced loaf in a plastic zipper bag, and keep in the freezer for up to 1 month. Store slices the same way, but with parchment in between so it's easier to grab a slice when you want one. Never store your loaf in the refrigerator — it will only stale faster!

Reheat your slices any way you like — in a toaster, in the oven, or on a pan — without thawing if frozen. For unsliced loaves, reheat in an oven for 10 to 15 minutes at 350°F (175°C), or until the crust is crispy. If frozen, thaw at room temperature first, then lightly spritz with water before placing in the oven.
